The property itself is beautiful in the mountains, and the location is perfect for Hemel en Arde visits!

It seems the property is usually used as some sort of religious rehabilitation facility - on entering there is a big sign about healing broken people, and their are religious pamphlets etc everywhere. Not what we were planning for our lovely family trip to the Hemel en aarde!

Very quiet and peaceful location. Great for some rest and time with the family.

No fans for air circulation and cooling.

The location and accomodation were absolutely lovely! Such a stunning place to get away and relax.

There was a mouse under our bed. We woke up and tried to catch it for about an hour. We figured it may have come from the kitchen cupboard as there is a hole.

It was very clean and quiet.

It is very old, and 3 stop and go's to get there, while the road is being repaired was unexpected and would have been good to know when I booked, but understandably, it is what it is. The brown river water is something to get used to, but clean drinking water was provided.
