Star Light Cabanas & Restaurant

Lovely spacious cabin with nice seating area in front. Good sleep quality due to comfy mattress, air conditioning and mosquito net. Nice quiet location. 5 min walk to huge empty beach (but you can’t swim there)

Ideally would have liked to be closer to a beach where swimming is possible. Our host mentioned that 20 minutes walk away there is a beach which is safe for swimming but we didn’t manage to discover it.

A peaceful location close to the pristine beaches where we swam near a reef with loads of tropical fish. The restaurant served fresh authentic Sri Lankan breakfast & dinner. Particularly enjoyed chilling out in the hammock & deck chairs on the patio.

The house is very basic but its enough. The nearby beach is heaven on earth. Its 2 mins distance from the cabana. The hosts are very nice and helpful. Very nice vibe in apart from the big city Tangalle. And we rented scooter from them

The only thing that it was missing it was a bin for the trash

Very kind hosts. Its near the beach, very empty section. Be careful tho its dangerous to swim there. But the beach is very nice and you can walk in the water. At night there were giant turtles. Food in the restaurant was very tasty also. Huge portions. 😜 Would come back anytime.

The location and upkeep of this place was very good. Cozy and comfortable. Amazing vibe created by the lovely people running it. Walkable distance to the beach and turtle hatchery. You won't regret getting here....

Only a suggestion rather than disliking anything. The food was a little bland to my palate. Again it's only a personal experience.

Simple done extremely well. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. We loved the hammocks. The breakfast was amazing too The beach is a short walk away and the main town about an hour. We loved the tranquility of the location and exploring the lagoons , there are restaurants/bars nearby but it was really close to nature at the same time

Not a criticism of the property but just a heads up to anytime , they don’t accept card and the nearest ATM is a short tuk tuk away so come prepared!
