Wilderness Metanoia

Upon arrival, we received a heartwarming welcome. We arrived the evening in the middle of winter and our place was so lovely and warm. Metanoia is a stunning and immaculate place, and we loved every second there. The landscape is picturesque. We had a fantastic time with the family and will most definitely return.

Location and nature view

Despite the place being very nice in the middle of the nature and jungle, we are extremely unhappy and unsatisfied with our experience and stay at this place. First of all, the apartments weren't equipped with any heaters and those which were at the place were broken. The temperature was very low and we were freezing, it was literally very cold, the first we slept without any heaters, the owner (Johin) promised he will buy us heaters next day. However next day he got us only two!!! Our booking was two apartments with total 5 bedrooms and two bangulows each has two bedrooms. So how two heaters are supposed to be shared between total 9 bedrooms!!! Secondly, with this situation and the coldness we were experiencing, my sister asked John (who's the only person available and interacting with) to put on the fireplace in one of the bungalows. In a very rude and arrogant manner his response was that this is not his job and not his responsibility and will do it only as favor!!! We are international tourists and coming from places where we do not use fireplace so naturally we expect the facility owner to set it up for us, especially when he did not provide us with the basics which is a working heater when the temperature drops to below 10c at the night! Every time we asked John for something, his response was "I am not the owner and this place belongs to my son in law!!" Why we the guests should care about this piece of useless information!! If you in charge then be accountable and sort things out without referring to your age or your son in law whos the actual owner. Although we were 18 members, only one person was interacting with John to ask for anything so we do not bombard him with messagesfromm multipleppl, but he wasn't even responsive to this person at all, reading the message of whatapp without even responding or picking up the calls which is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.

We loved the birdwatching viewdecks, the swimming pool, the tennis court, the pool table and entertainment area. I look forward to the next opportunity to stay there.. It was super lovely. The house was super warm and cosy with everything you need.

Peace, cleanliness and tranquility

What an amazing place. Everything i could've asked for and more. I've been to many resorts, and this is by far the best experience I've ever had from a self-catering unit. The hosts put so much effort into their units, grounds, and personal touches. Gerrit & Anneline treated us like family, and their local knowledge for places to go and places to eat is superb. My wife and kids loved the amenities and we will definitely be back to stay again. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing break with breathtaking views with only a stone throw away from great restaurants and bars and a stunning beach, then look no further. This is the place to go !!

Absolutely Nothing

What a unique find! This cottage is beautifully set with stunning views. The estate is amazing with lovely amenities such as a tennis court, biljart, a large trampoline and stunning pool. The cottage itself is comfortable and we enjoyed the fire place/braai. Great attention to detail from the hosts, with a bottle of wine and chocolates upon arrival which we thoroughly appreciated. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely nothing!

AMAZING view. Everything was excellent. Very well equipped, i.e. small portable braai, outside hot tub, bonfire place, outside dining area, deck chairs etc. Will be back.
