Wilderness Metanoia

What an amazing hidden gem! This is one not to miss! Seriously, it is absolutely beautiful and tranquil , has a pool, tennis court, pool table, massive grounds to go walking and a great bbq and outside area, indoors is just as lovely and spacious! If you are an outdoor person, this is the place for you. Excellent attention to detail, a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates on arrival( we were just travelling as a family, not honeymoon) such a lovely host! Don’t hesitate to book this place.

Getting the code to the gate to get into the property was a bit of a hassle, as there was no reception for my phone just outside. Perhaps for future visits, guests could be emailed the code in advance. Everything else was lovely.

We loved the beautiful surroundings,from the moment you drive through the gates,you are surrounded by very well maintained gardens, and we were fortunate to have seen more than one Loerie. The bird life and nature are beautiful! Chalets are well maintained and equipped,with all the firewood you need! The chalets are well spaced and gives you lots of privacy. We enjoyed the big swimming pool and tennis courts. There is lots of space for the children to run and play,no complaints about being borred. Gerrit,Anneline and all the staff were very friendly and available if needed. We had the most relaxing stay and can recommend Metanoia without hesitation.

There was nothing we did not like.

It is a very beautiful place with a lot of things to do like relax at the pool or dam, play tennis or volleyball or have a nice braai. Johan was very nice and his dogs are very cute and friendly. It was very quiet during the day which we loved, although at night it gets quite loud because of all the animals chirping, so better bring some earplugs for a good nights sleep.

The only thing we were a little sad about was that there was no salt and pepper to cook with, but if you know that in advance, just bring some along if you want to cook.

There was no non stick frying pan. And no cleaning service on a weekend :(

This facility is self catering with everything you need in a kitchen. It is well equipped and maintained in most places. The surroundings and little dam infant of the chalet is beautiful with its purple flowers. A tranquil place to re-energize! There are walk ways through the forest and tennis quarts and a swimming pool.
