Fabulous place to stay

Nothing not to like about it

Bed. Hot tub.

Black mould in bathroom. Frosted window. Dusty. Stunk of dogs ( had to buy febreeze) fridge smells. Patio table unusable. Stains on carpet. Laminate floor broken everywhere. Loud ticking noise. Photos on booking.com not recent. Only half of patio set shown was here.

Located was quiet

Upon arrival, the lodge we were allocated did not reflect the pictures online. There was debris from the trees strewn all over the floor and on the outdoor furniture. Around the hot tub there were decaying leaves that were pushed to one side and left as well as a discarded cigar. Inside, the wooden flooring within the living room area was lifting and had emulsion left behind which had not been cleaned up. The vinyl flooring in the bathroom was heavily stained with an empty toilet roll holder having been left on the top of the cistern. The main bedroom had a stain on the carpet, bobbled bed linen, the sink was dirty with hair around it and one of the bedside tables had litter inside that I’m assuming was left behind by previous occupants and went unnoticed by staff.

The shower was cold and not very powerful

Loved the stay in the lodge it was just what we needed very quiet and the relaxing break we wanted

Only down on this was there was nothing to keep clean after yourself like mop and hover one of the radiators was falling off the wall other than these little things it was perfect I’d definitely book again thank you for a lovely stay

This property is in a good location, although it is down a lot of narrow lanes.

Property smelled strongly of damp & dogs. There were cheap air fresheners everywhere to try and disguise the smell. Property extremely run down. We damaged our car on the track outside the house and were told by neighbours that 30 other people had done that this week. Everything is falling apart, wallpaper peeling off, sinks losing surfaces, cigarette burns in carpets, sofas were covered in sand, mismatched broken furniture. Beds were clean and you could tell the cleaners had tried with the time they were given, yellowing fridge and microwave clean. But it’s clearly had no investment or maintenance for a long time from management. Had to stay the first night as we couldn’t get anywhere else on a bank holiday weekend. Didn’t sleep as neighbours noisy and sat outside playing music and broken headboards meant a huge banging noise any time one of the children moved about in their sleep. Could not get front door open in morning- fire risk surely? When we complained the staff blamed all of this on the last guests to stay which was quite clearly not true. Left early and didn’t stay for second night, drove all the way to Swansea just to get out of there. Staff promised a refund which we have not received (a week later) and they are ignoring my emails so booking.com now pursuing this for us.
