The place is so old and dirty. The rooms are terrible, so dark and filthy, mattresses so old and wholes all over it. My back is so bad and people having sex in the room on the bunk bed top. Honestly, I’ve never stayed in a bad place like this before. It’s so expensive for me what you get it.

Location was fab, easy access to the city and amenities close by in the town

Very expensive for what it is, very outdated. Dips in the bed, beds not comfy and squeak from a tiny bit of movement. Floor grubby and old fashioned. Shower water pressure extremely low and bathroom facilities extremely outdated. Windows in the room must be single glazing as you can hear every single thing from outside. People have been staying in this hostel for months/years on end so is extremely cliquey. Everyone does drugs, even the people who work there, doesn’t feel very safe. People vaping indoors, including staff. One member of staff in particular, was very stand offish and appeared to not like new people. People coming and going and all hours, which is fine, however turning lights on, making loads of noise and people setting multiple alarms but sleeping through them

When I left the next morning at 9 am because of the state of the hostel, the unprofessional personnel and not secure place.

One of the managers and the owner were extremely rude and unprofessional. The atmosphere felt unsafe, as I witnessed suspicious transactions happening inside the hostel. The room I stayed in was unbelievably messy, with no A/C and no ladder to access the upper bed : you literally have to climb and jump. When I raised these concerns, the manager told me, ‘You should find a hotel; hostels are not for you,’ possibly judging me because I’m too clean and don’t have any tattoos or piercings. l checked out at 11 pm didn’t sleep all night and left the next morning at 10 am. On top of that, they refused to refund me the 360 I was owed. Definitely not a place I’d recommend.
