Friendly hostel, ideally located just a few steps from Freo station and nearby shops. Well equipped, with great kitchen facilities and comfortable common areas. The staff is nice and welcoming, special thanks to Nidal !

It might not suit someone looking for absolute quiet, but personally I didn’t mind.

the staff is so wonderful!! i had an amazing experience staying here. i stayed at 3 of the most popular hostels in fremantle and i’d have to say this one was the best in terms of socializing, staff, and ability to stay for longer. many of the hostels nearby are full of long term stayers and made it very hard to stay longer than a day or two. not their fault, but i was very grateful to be able to stay for the time i needed here. the outdoor area is beautiful too!! a great little escape :). i didn’t get to stay in the women’s only area, but it is completely forbidden for men to enter and you are able to stay without interacting with any men if you’d like!! such a beautiful option to have in a hostel. they have their own kitchen, bathrooms, and entrance. highly recommend staying here <3

the beds were a bit high for me and no ladder so it was uncomfortable at times being in other people’s space and trying to get onto the bed at night without being loud was hard.

The living room with the huge couch, netflix and books. The women only area was great. Facilities also good except for the bedroom.

The noise... EVERYDAY PEOPLE CHATTING AND LOUD MUSIC UNTIL 2 AM. The rooms are really small and you can hardly move there (I am 1.50m tall and less than 50kg) and reach your bed specially if it's a shared one. They don't have a proper ladder to get to the upper bed. I saw dead cockroaches around the place...

The people inside and 90% of the staff are incredible. But word of mouth goes around the hostel about the other 10%. That’s all we can say.

Was kicked out of the hostel for “talking shit about the staff” When all that was said was one of the staff clearly does not like me. And for no reason as she asked the owner to tell me to remove my light from my bunk bed due to “fire hazard and they need land lease approved” mean while the same staff lady smokes inside breaching rules and they allow multiple people to have fairy lights in their bunk. But I was singled out and told “talking shit about staff and complained about your fairy lights” I stayed here for 2 months and every corner I turn I have beautiful conversations with all of not most of the hostel. So many gutted that I’m leaving. When my friends in the hostel for 2 months asked me why I have to go? And I explain the situation. I was told to vacate the building immediately. In the end I was dragged to the office. Was told “I’m gas lighting the situation” when clearly they don’t understand projection. You have 100 people saying this person has an issue with them.. so do 100 people have a problem or does 1 person seem to be the problem? Girls dorm is 350 here 270 Sundancer Boys 14 bedroom dorm ofs is $315 4 bedroom aircon is $300 at Sundancer Thinking they have the monopoly and can treat people who are loved so poorly is disgusting

Convenient location near fremantle trains, buses, ferries are the only pros to this hostel

If you don't like being suffocated by the smell of cigarettes look elsewhere. Everyone chain smokes in the common area downstairs and it seeps thru the windows, under the doors and there's no escape from it. Absolutely disguising. I get it's a historical building but showers are poor quality and inadequate for the amount of people. Also staff clean at the most inconvenient time when you need to use the amenities to get ready for the day. If you think you're going to shower and leave by 10am think again bc the bathrooms/showers will be closed for cleaning during peak morning times. why not do this at 6-7am when everyone is sleeping? Also when you arrive they will hold your passport hostage until you go out and give them $60 cash for deposit which I have never experienced anywhere else and is very inconvenient. Top bunk has no ladder so you have to vault yourself up there and to top it off I had drunk and inconsiderate roommates turning lights on at 1am and leaving the door wide open constantly so no sort of privacy whatsoever. Don't waste your money
