The hostel is quite nice/ room, beds, wifi, stuff etc. Good vibe and good stay BUT!! the neighborhood is terrible. every night I was woken up by terrible noise, loud talks, music, motorbikes etc by some insane locals doing nonsense right next to the dorm. One night it started at 4, the other at 2 etc. It was extremely hard to sleep if you are in the dorm. and I had earplugs. Except for that all good

Great location close to everything in the town. We had private room with toilet and shower, really appreciated the mosquito net. There’s a fully equipped kitchen and also place to store your food and nice chill out area. Also lots of daily tips what you can do :)

The toilet can get smelly, stayed three nights and nobody took our trash out - you don’t flush the toilet paper… also the kitchen wasn’t the cleanest. Shower had very low pressure.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Cheap rental bikes are available. It is in a good location near the center of town and close to the beach.

It is very hot at night, and there is no air-conditioning available. The dorm is relatively open to the elements, so mosquitos are a danger, even though mosquito nets are provided.

We stayed at 3 places in Puerto Viejo, and this place was the best of them all. Super-helpful young people working there and a lot of nice other packpackers to chat to. They could recommend a lot of nice things to do, they rent out bicycles and also arrange trips and shuttle to other places. If I go back, I will definitely stay here again.

In the private room, the light was not working in the toilet. But apart from that, everything was according to my expectations

Location. Bed was comfy.

Mosquitos were prevalent. . Very basic hostel.

Stuff was very nice and helpful, providing tips for the area! WhatsApp group with daily recommendations was very nice! The mosquito curtain above the bed was very useful, as in the night there were a lot of mosquitoes around.

Small kitchen

Nice people and staff. Had information about lots of activities and bikes for rent. Right in the center of town and close to everything.

I cannot recommend the private rooms, unfortunately. The room itself is nice and clean but it faces right out onto the busy street with no insulation so it feels like you're sleeping on the street. It is also one block from the major club/after party so the music kept us up until about 4:30 am on Saturday. Then on Sunday, we were hoping to have a quieter night but the person across the street played loud music until almost midnight. We ended up leaving after 3 nights when we were supposed to stay 4. Overall, nice hostel, I heard good things about the dorm but I cannot recommend the private rooms.
