Hostal Chasqui

Cozy, clean & comfortable rooms & bathrooms with hot water. Kitchen was well equipped & spacious. Staff always available & helpful. Numerous patios to enjoy views or to workout in. Good location about a 10 min walk from the big market, and even closer to a grocery store/gym/restaurants.

A small note but the property (and in particular our room) were located right on the main street, so it was a bit noisy in the AM.

Could have been cleaner, but the thing that annoyed us at most, was that the property insisted on paying tge commission by us. Yes, the commission that the property is obliged to pay to booking.com for using their platform. They insisted on paying it, we're not able to understand the basic principle of it although they were complaining that all the guests have problem with paying that. So be prepared to pay extra 15 procent or sth like that.

Run by a lovely, helpful couple in an excellent Location. Hot showers, storage space, balcony and the added bonus of netflix although no TV reception. And good wifi.

Balcony doors don't keep street noise out. Bring ear plugs if your a light sleeper.

Excellent place! There are several decks and rooftop areas making the Hostal seem huge and luxurious. Excellent and clean shared kitchen (they're usually not clean, this one is). Rooms are cozy and fairly big. Very secure, extremely professional and well organized staff. Quiet. Strong wifi.

It's a small point, but the shower pressure isn't very strong.

Nice Room with private shower and towels/soap. Great staff. Location close to the city center and many options of food etc close by. Great if you want to visit the market and it's a nice city to spend more time. Great common area, spacious and a big kitchen with all utensils.

Beautiful view over Otovalo, tranquil place and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The room had everything we needed and was comfortable.

Great value! Room has all the basics. Hot water shower. WiFi. Smart TV. Table and chair. Friendly staff who kept everything clean and tidy. Mattress is a bit old, but I thought it was comfortable, and good blankets are provided. A few blocks from the center and a ten-minute walk to Plaza de Ponchos. Indoor parking for my motorcycle!

Could be loud at times with barking dogs and someone nearby doing construction work. Low water pressure. No closet or anywhere to put your belongings.

Beautiful huge hostal near Otavalo city center. Clean rooms, big and well equipped kitchen, many terraces with wonderful views, free parking under the roof.
