Hi Hostel Stara Pekara Osijek

Het gebouw; niet het hotel.

Wanted to relax in Osijek for 2 nights. Didn't work out. - I booked bed in shared room , By mistake. I couldnt undo this online. Result was paying almost 50% more than online, at reception. no leniency. - very unfriendly substitute manager. -No AC. It was almost 28 celcius in the room. -Got a MANDATORY membership which cost me 1,5 euro/night. To be paid at desk. Reservation confirmation did not mention that. - Dirty under bed - No cups. No shower-soap. No TV in room. No icecubes available. In fact....Nothing. - The manager was unavailable for complaints. - Had to make the bed myself!! And that hotel rates!! - Had to ask for new towels and toiletpaper. - Price/quality rate VERY low.; for that money I could have had much much better in town.

The location is good in old town, a short walk from nearby pubs and restaurants. Staff are amazing, friendly and super helpful. Rooms are clean and tidy for the most part, though some walls and shower could use a better clean.

Not much to dislike about the place, though they really need to consider putting at least a fan in the rooms. The thick walls keep the heat out a little, but you really need a fan to push the hot air out for sleeping at night. I was quite lucky though, and had the dorm to myself due to low booking numbers.

Probably the best hostel in Europe. Liked · Everything is great. One of the best hostels in Europe. Located in old bakery it has its charm but it’s recently renovated. The rooms are amazing. Other hostels would put minimum 8 beds in such big rooms. Here you have 4 beds private washroom and shower plus free of charges lockers for everyone. The girl at reception was ultra nice. They also have a restaurant in the ground floor which has great prices. Stay only here if you’re in Osijek! Just to add - I was planning to stay on night here but I extended my stay and this place was one of the main reasons.

Maybe the floor doesn’t fit the the aura of the place but I’ve already seen that people destroyed it with luggage so I totally understand such choice of floor.

The Hostel Is Wonderful! Inside the old Town fortress! Is,also, very clean, Cozy,confortable and Peeacefull! The staff Is Just Amazing, lovely and Friendly! Real Fantastic Experience! I Will back there,for sure!
