Pondok Aldi Hostel

Good location, right at the beach.

Stayed in the dorm. The sheets were stained as well as the curtain. Bathroom is very outdated, smells and isn’t clean. Breakfast is the same every day. Staff can’t help with arranging trips whatsoever. Left after 1 night even though I booked 2.

The staff was great, I liked the banana pancake breakfast with coffee, the location is great, in front of the best place to dive and great cafes around. The bedroom was very comfortable.

It's very close to the main road so you hear the cars/motos passing by during the day. Thankfully Amed is quite calm at night, so not much noise. I was able to sleep very well!

Super lovely reception, very cosy beds and great privacy. Huge lockers with a key. The banana pancakes are delicious in the morning. It's right across from a great snorkeling spot. The hostel is quiet but you can still chat to other guests (only 8 beds).

The toilets needed a bit of TLC, and there was occasionally no shower water. For the price though, these were minor inconveniences. It would be nice to have a dedicated chill spot that's not right on the main street (breakfast table) and ia more comfortable to relax with other travelers.
