Capsule hostel

Very nice place, comfortable, great and clean, everything very organized and working pretty good. 👏🏽👏🏽

Negative Review I asked the owner if I could bring my bike inside, and he first said we would see later. After I checked in, he refused to let me keep my bike inside or even in his garage. I am not leaving a $4,500 bike unattended in the middle of Newark. I asked for a refund, and he refused. On top of that, the place smells very bad. 👉 Do not go there.

The location owner was very kind, explained everything we asked, gave us a little fun.

Price is an obvious one but the days demand it so I stay drinking. Tricky spot to find, but that doesn't stop a good adventure

It was fairly quiet at night. It’s conveniently located within a short cab ride / reasonable walk from the main train station. The host is friendly and has a clever way of greeting / connecting the guests by having people find their national or state flag in the form of little map pins that can be stuck on a cork board world map on the lounge wall.

The bathrooms didn’t seem adequate for the number of guests that they could potentially have. One of the bathrooms has a modern walk-in shower that I used and the other one is an old style tub with a shower head. 2 toilets and 2 showers don’t seem enough for the number of capsules when there’s a full house. There weren’t any standardized pump dispensers with shampoo / body wash / hand soaps, like in other capsule hotels, but luckily I had some of my own toiletries. They should also advise guests to bring their own towels / wash cloth because. I was offered one large towel that the staff / housekeeper ended up taking after I used it once. Since I had my own, it wasn’t worth the trouble of asking for a replacement. They have multiple coffee machines (including two “K cup style”), but didn’t even have individual K-cups to buy. There should be some way to access filtered water, like with a cooler / dispenser. The host said that bottled water was available in a vending machine on the ground floor, but that was filled with potato chip bags and maybe 1 or 2 bottles of water, for the days I was staying. The extra lounge / co-working area was nice enough, but the TV wasn’t accessible. There was no remote control or obvious buttons (even just for power) on the flat screen itself. I did ask about this and the host said to download a Roku app for a smart phone. I did this and it even seemed like the app recognized a compatible TV was on that network, but the remote feature couldn’t access anything on it.

Die Lage war perfekt für meine Vorhaben. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war unkompliziert. Das Hostel ist von innen größer als es von außen wirkt. Die Kapselbetten waren geräumig. Ich konnte vor Ort für fünf Dollar meine Klamotten waschen lassen, super Service

Nicht ganz so einfach zu finden, weil am Haus kein Hinweis auf das Hostel steht.

Great location, clean, easily accessible by bus via route 1 from Newark Penn Station
