Aark House

The hostess was kind and answered questions you had. You can use the kitchen.

The bed was very soft and mattress very old- felt like you were being swallowed by it. The location is not terrible, but not amazing either. You’re about a 15-20 minute walk from the market and train station. Buses are not always frequent so you end up wasting a lot of time trying to catch the bus. If you’re unlucky and have loud guests, you can hear them when they talk in their room and definitely when they use the restroom. I was unlucky and had a guest next door who was a tutor and was teaching from 9-10pm and then 7-10am the next day.

The owner is so friendly and helpful,she even goes the extra mile to help. Staying in Aark House makes me feel like home and warm welcomed, I will def stay here again if I come back to Gangneung.
