The host was very nice and hospitable. I forgot my wallet and asked him to keep it for me till the next day, and he returned it for me with a very nice attitude. The place felt like an old traditional Japanese house, so a lovely experience. It was right next to the city bus station, so easy to go around.

"One of my favourite hostels in Japan"

Friendly owner, great location, and very comfortable. Also has a good area for socialising, so bring some sake or Nagano wine.
