Great hostel!!

For me it was perfect. Great price, comfortable bed, hot shower, friendly vibe

The location, the atmosphere.

The mattresses are bad and break your back and there is no curtains in the room, so you have the daylight since 5.30am

Good location near the historic center. Rooms were kept relatively small: 3-4 people per room. Bathrooms were cleaned daily though. The first room I was put in had bunk beds, and the second room (the ladies' dorm) was single beds; though the bed frame was made of shipping pallets and were not very stable.

Room floors were quite dusty, the kitchen was quite small and not much space for self-catering though equipment was sufficient. The common area was largely open-air and there were many smokers when I was staying so it was not so pleasant for me.

We arrived and they said they only had 1 bed free so they took us to their other hostel round the corner but it was just mattresses on the floor and it was so loud and the bathroom was dirty. The manager at the first location was so rude about the situation despite it being because of their booking system.

The best hostel in Cuenca. Very nice staff, good community area. You can speak, see movie, use the kitchen, play games, make music, use the laundry for free. More than worth it.

it’s not a good place for digital nomads to work since there are only two tables outside and none as a plug and the chairs are not comfortable either to stay for a long time working. besides that it’s perfect

This was a lovely little guest house, a bit out of town but very easy to access by bus or taxi (20 min bus for $1 or a taxi). If youre only here for a few days, visit the tortoise sactuary on the way from the airport. The family were very welcoming, and I had a lovely room to myself. I didn't get the opportunity to try but they also do home cooked meals here too. Just an FYI, bring ear plugs as there's a few roosters who haven't made it to Sunday lunch yet...
