Manesh is super friendly and helpful and he make his own kombucha which is the best i had:)))!!!

The host Mahesh is super friendly and treats you like a friend from the moment you arrive. Every bed has its own fan which is super helpful. The whole villa is super clean.

Mahesh is very kind and fun. He made everybody feel very welcome. It was like hanging out with family :)

The kitchen was not equipped very well and could be cleaner.

Perfect place to socialise! Even if it was low season, I met some people in the hostel and we did some stuff together, which I liked in particularly. Such as watching the sunset or delicious naan and chickpeas dinner at the hostel, with lots of singing ;) Ambience was very chill.

Almost nothing but maybe the whole place (kitchen, chill area, rooms) was not the cleanest one, but there were some volunteers working on it. Still worth to stay there for sure!

Had a great stay @ wake up weligama. Booked foe 2 nights and end up stsying almost 2 weeks. Great atmosphere, nice location close to the beach and 15 min walk from the railway and main bus station. Highly recommended

It would be great if they would clean common areas in a daily basis (as well as bathrooms)

The atmosphere in the hostel was AMAZING! all the guest together in the chill area, Talking, singing and sharing experience! The hostel is close to the beach and to the super market and the host was super friendly! I didn’t ask better accomodation in Weligama! Very recommended!

Clean and spacious rooms, the owner of the hostel is super nice, helpful, easy to talk to and truly caring for others. Helped me with planning my trip around Sri Lanka and gave me valuable advice. When time of lunch or dinner he picked up the food and brought it to the hostel for everyone. His homemade kombucha is the best I’ve ever tried. Great vibe all around the hostel, in the evening people gather together, listen to music and enjoy the present moment. I truly recommend this place for everyone, especially solo travelers like me would appreciate to meet new people. I am thankful for everything this hostel gave me.
