La Ventana Hostel

The hostel was in a good location and the views were great, especially from the rooftop terrace. The room was super comfortable and there was a good hostel vibe.

Awesome location

They have a nice outdoor area for the hostel. When I talked with the owner, he was able to remediate the issues.

The room we booked smelled like there were plumbing issues. The people are friendly, but staying in a room where you can't sleep well because of the smell is tough. Thankfully the owner remediated the issues.

The room was moldy the ac/heater didn’t work and it’s way over priced

Nice kitchen and rooftop. Amazing sunrise view! Big downfall which is very hard to understand: ridiculously thin blankets. The owners should try to sleep with them themselves.

The communal area with open kitchen, lounge and roof terrace has a great vibe, there is also a little coffee shop with healthy smoothies. Volunteer Alex is a great host, a talented barista, basically runs the place.

The private rooms with own bathroom in the second building are not finished, nothing to hang towels, no shelves, its bare, small bathrooms, old toilet as decoration on the veranda, making those rooms expensive for what they give in relation to other and better options around.

The lounge with open kitchen with cooking island and roof terrace sunrise/ sunset chill creates a good vibe between guests. Volunteer Alex runs the show, is a talented Barista, and makes great healthy smoothies too.

The new second building is not finished, rooms miss basics as hangers for your towel, and around the veranda is bare with as only decoration a broken toilet.
