La Ventana Hostel

The location is very good. The staff (volunteers) are nice but unfortunately don't know what to do when you have a problem. The owner was really nice. The queen room is clean but small. The kitchen is fully equipped and clean which is very nice.

I stayed there for 6 nights and only had cold water showers for 5 days because they ran out of gas to heat the showers and it took 5 days to have it changed. The owner was nice and offered me a discount for those nights but i still would have preferred hot water because it was 11 degrees at night so pretty cold. The lock on my room didn't work and they told me it wasn't really a problem because it's a safe place but i still wasn't comfortable leaving 6K worth of kite gear in my room without locking it. Someone even walked in to my room while i was sleeping because he was confused with the self check in and thought it was his room. The toilet was leeking every time i flushed for the 6 days i stayed there, i told the volunteers but they didn't know what to do so i had to put a towel on the bathroom floor to absorb the water for the whole stay. The owner fixed it on my last day. The queen rooms are very small, it was perfect for one person but i don't know how it would fit 2 people with 2 suitcases.
