Check-in was horrible. We arrived 35 min before reception would close (communicated by email and blackboard at property), only to find no staff anywhere. The room assigned to us as per email was clearly occupied. We didn't want to invade this guest's privacy, so we called and messaged the 2 provided numbers. The main number was offline, and the emergency number hung up on us multiple times. After 45 min of failed attempts and trying and failing to contact Booking, we decided to ask the guest in our assigned room if they were aware of anything. This person turned out to be staff, even though 45 min prior, we had been loudly wondering what was going on in front of his then open door. He decided our room had been changed (without communication to us). The 'new' room was already occupied. The guest occupying that room, after severely apologising to us without being given any reason (yet), discussed with the staff member how she 'accidentally' ended up in the wrong room. We were suggested to move to a smaller room with 'discount', still 5$ more expensive than on Booking. We refused and took the alternative option that the guest would move to her actual room, and the staff member would change the bedding in our already paid for room. After a long day of driving and rushing to make it before reception was supposed to close, having to wait an additional 1.5h in the heat being bitten by mosquitoes, while pregnant, was not what I expected when booking this 'fabulous' accommodation. As an additional note, although our interpretation only, we felt we were being played, and that the protagonists knew each other and were purposely occupying rooms that were not allocated to her/them. Seeing them next morning sitting flirtingly next to each other further confirmed these suspicions.

I stayed two nights in the 8 bedroom dorm. It was quiet and comfortable and has a very relaxed vibe. The kitchen is well equipped and each bunk (and room) has its own space in the fridge and a shelf to keep your food separate. There is a hammock and deck chairs on the balcony upstairs which was a great location from which to watch the sunrise. The staff were very friendly and provided us with a good local recommendations. They also provided us with chairs, a cooler and beach umbrella for our day trip to Punta Arena de La Ventana.
