Young Monk Hostel Dharamkot,Mcloadganj

Location was lovely, with beautiful views of the mountains. Dormitory room, with 6 beds were clean, comfortable, warm , with good comforters. Bathroom was clean, with hot water, toilet tissue, liquid hand wash, shampoo. Sit out warm, welcoming, with seating, casual, comfortable, books, chess, music system, dining. Food was cooked freshly in-house and served hot in the sit out , by friendly staff

Towels were not available. The gas cylinder / stove developed a leakage issue, due to which in-house food was not available for 1-2 days, but later sorted

The place is very scenic with great views however very set out of the way- research where you want to be in Dharamkot (upper vs lower). I wish we could say better things- staff were hit and miss, we were misled about an early check in and left hanging, the wifi only worked 15% of the time in our room, the hot water only worked twice our whole stay, the heater in our room was going to be charged to use and it didn't work either. Worst of all was when we finally were able to check in 1.5 hours after we were told we were given a very obviously dirty room with visibly dirty sheets and a used towel hanging in the bathroom. Having to ask to have clean sheets and towels isn't something anyone wants to deal with. I did reach out to management with no response. Overall, this place left us disappointed and I would recommend people spend their money elsewhere.

Nice location.

Perhaps the time of year but completely vibeless, staff weren’t overly accommodating and they put me in a room adjacent to where they were building another room out of bricks. Kept leaving the outside light on which shone straight into the bedroom which required me to scramble over bricks and other construction material to turn off.

At the time of my stay the cafe was closed. Understandably because it was off season, but this would have been a nice add on
