Coliving & Cafe SANDO

I stayed here while cycling the Shimanami Kaido cycle trail. It was the perfect, quiet spot on the far side of Omishima island. The food in their cafe/bar was lovely and reasonably priced, the dorm room was great, and a bike storage area is right next to the cafe too. It is less than 1 minute walk from Oyamazumi Shrine which is home to the largest collection of original Samurai weapons and armor in the the world. This shrine is unmissable - probably the most interesting piece of history on the cycle tour (along with the Hill of Hope on Ikuchijima Island).

程よい広さがあり トイレ、シャワールーム、お部屋は清潔感があり 部屋は鍵がかけられて安心 今治タオルが用意されていて、心遣いが嬉しかったです 一階にキッチンがあり、便利 一階のcafe &BARで美味しいお料理とお酒がいただけます

夜中の人の出入り時、ドアの開閉の音が少し気になった

海外のお客さんも多かったけど、みなさん静かだった。トイレやシャワー室は、思ったよりきれいだったけど、できれば共用は避けたかった。

男女別のドミトリーだとまだよかった。男女混合ドミトリーなので、男性顧客がいびきをかいてうるさくて眠れなかった。2泊したけど、2泊とも別の男性客が泊まっていて、うるさかった。安かったけど、正直もう泊まりたくないと思った。5月に泊まったけど、ドミトリーの中の空気がこもっている感じがして少し暑くて、夏は暑いだろうなと思った。

It’s well designed to accommodate quite some people while giving each their own space. The communal kitchen is super well equipped and the breakfast was delicious. It was also great to have the AC in the room while also having the option to open a window with a window screen.
