Shanti Hostel

I liked the location near the bus and train stations. I liked the intimate feeling of the common room. There is shopping and dining nearby. The city center and old bazaar are only about 15 minutes away on foot.

I had a short but sweet stay at Shanti hostel. This was highly recommended to me and I'm very happy that I stayed here. The staff are beyond welcoming.

Very handy location near the bus station (less than 5 minute walk) and just across from a shopping centre with a big supermarket. About a 20 minute walk to the main square in the old town. The staff were so lovely and it had a nice cosy vibe. The bed was comfy and everything was clean.

The spiral staircase is very tricky to get up with a suitcase and would be hard for anyone with mobility issues to use. In high season you'd have to wait in line for the bathroom.

Staff was very friendly and helpfull. There was even free breakfast

One day there were bedbugs but they cleaned the whole room as soon as they discovered the issue

Clean, safe and comfortable. A very social hostel with friendly staff and a cosy communal area. Has a lovely informal free breakfast

A little walk from the centre 10-15 mins

Lovely property with great hosts. The hostel is in a good location, only a 5 minute walk from the bus station.

My bed did have bed bugs as 14/11/23. Mattress was cleaned as well as room on departure.
