The GREEN Hostel

Location (15 minute walk from the bus terminal), price, staff, safe.

Mosquitoes. Wifi in common area only. Some of the longer staying people working for the hostel were kind of lost.

Staff friendly and helpful. Good location 10 minutes walk from ferry. Quite pricey for a dorm bed.

Central location easy to reach. All the necessities on the upper floor accessible to anyone.

No AC. Noise in the shared dorms facing the street. Old windows not fully connected to the wall and not entire closing makes the room really noisy. The top part of the wall separating the corridor and room seems incomplete. Hallways and stairwell quite dark. Simple bathrooms.

They charged me 20€ extra for arriving at "late" at 20:10h while having informed me about the subcharge only the same day at 9am via e-mail when it was impossible for me to change neither my flight, nor cancel the reservation (non-refundable the same day). I asked to speak with the manager but the lady at the reception speaks no English, so nothing was possible. It's a trap, 60€ for a dorm/night, imagine... They make you do the bed yourself, the hostel property is not clean, very unfriendly staff. There is no soap, no ventilation in the bathroom and due to no AC, it's 30C in the room. Stay away!!!

Guy made free dinner for the guests which was absolutely delicious.

the girl at the reception wasn‘t too friendly and didn‘t bother to speak English, even though my French clearly wasn‘t good enough to understand her. The rooms are very basic, with no AC but at least a fan and the bathrooms could use an update. Generally speaking it lacked all the things that make a great hostel such as lockers, additional hooks & power outlets, individual bedlamps, etc. no TLC whatsoever…

The outdoor common area was a good place to hang out, good size kitchen.

Bedroom was a bit cramped, small bathrooms overall it was pricey for what it was.

Central location.

I LIKED HOW EVERYBODY LIVED IN COMMUNE AND RESPECTED EACH OTHERS SPACE EVEN IF WE WERE ALL STRANGERS TO EACH OTHER. THERE WAS NOT MUCH TO DISLIKE. ILL BE STAYING HERE AGAIN.
