Great for a jungle experience, to hear the howler monkeys was amazing. Comfy beds, cold shower was a bonus as it was so humid. Lovely hammock outside the room. The hosts were lovely. Food was good. We stayed 3 nights which meant we got free transfer to and from the boat which was great!

Could do with a fan in the room. It is far from town and we didn't have a car, but that was our choice, the walk is quite hilly in the heat and we are fit people!

"Into the wild ;)"

If you want to be in the middle of the nature, this is the right place! I felt I was in the jungle with the sounds of birds in the morning and frogs in the night, it was a great experience :)

The entrance to go with the car is very bad, we almost damaged the car... it would be good to do some manaitenance there!

"A awesome place in the Jungle!"

It is like living in the middle of the Jungle - there are more wild animals than in a national park! The beach is 30 minute walk away and very beautiful also. Our bungalow was super clean and the balcony had a nice view to the garden. Juan and Maria are very welcoming and super friendly and more than happy to organize taxis and trips. Plus Juan is a professional cook and the food was fantastic! A really great place to stay!

Excellent location and food. You are surrounded by jungle and well taken care of by the hosts. Juan-Carlos built the lodge himself and used to be a chef at a local restaurant. He’ll cook meals for you for a very reasonable price.

You need to be ready for barebones accommodations. You are sleeping in the jungle. Nights are hot.

"Most magical place in the jungle!"

The owner and his family are amazing! Carlos made sure our stay was perfect and the area is absolutely beautiful! We loved every single minute from waking up to the howler monkeys to falling asleep surround by fireflies!

"Nice jungle cabins"

A great place near Drake in a secondary forest. Expect mosquitoes, parrots, basilisks (lizard) manakins,... Basic but good. Lovely hosts, excellent breakfast and dinner.

The fact that the hostel was inside the forest is great. I saw a toucan flying just in front of the room. The room was really clean

The only issue is the distance with the town. It is one hour walk or you have to organise and pay the taxi.
