GreenPoint Drake Bay

Krásné, jednoduché, čisté ubytování pro milovniky přírody a dobrodružnější povahy. Jednoduchá snídaně v ceně pobytu byla příjemným bonusem. Možnost využití vybavené sdílené kuchyně, lednice, vypraní prádla... Zvířat z džungle tu z hamaky ze své terasy uvidíte skoro vice než v N.P. a to téměř na dotek. Ptáci všech barev budou snídat s vámi... Majitelé jsou milí a ochotní, měli jsme příjemný pobyt.

- pozor na vlhkost v kufrech/zavazadlech při delším pobytu - síťky v oknech úplně netěsní, stejně tak velké mezery v podlaze naší chatky, ale celkově bylo komarů méně než jsme zde očekávali, moskytiéra u postelí byla fajn..

Super friendly family and amazing food in a little piece of paradise. Rooms are simple but very comfy and I loved the breakfast view with loads of birds and a few monkeys to be seen in the trees nearby. The location is a little far from the centre so you are dependent on a taxi/car (absolutely affordable) or have a longer walk on the street. If you need it, the lovely hosts will help you organise transport if you need it.

Drake Bay is a paradise with tropical beaches and wonderful sea! The staff, Maria and Juan Carlos are great! We felt a warm welcome

You need to consider that as all the wild and natural places the access is not like a city. Nothing to do with the structure, but in general consider to get a 4x4 or a high car

The surroundings of the hut are brilliant There are monkeys, hummingbirds and all kinds of other birds right in front of you. The hut itself while incredibly basic is absolutely fine but don't book it if you like luxury.

The owner just kind of ignores you and doesn't make any effort to speak unless you really push him so this made it feel a bit weird. It is 10 dollars each way in a taxi which adds up over a stay. Sometimes getting a taxi can be hard. The drinking water is outside in the sun so I ended up buying it. A beer or soft drink is 4 dollars which is more than in a bar in the town. It could be a great place with some more effort. Breakfast is very small and when going on trips you need more.

Loved the 2nd floor open balcony with the hammocks. Saw so many birds and monkeys. Heard Howler monkeys. Juan Carlos is very helpful in booking tours and transportation to and from town. We self catered dinner...but we're tempted by JC's culinary skills!

It is a bit far from the town, 1hr by foot. Half hour (hard)walk to a lovely not crowded beach with a stream to rinse off.

Really far from the main area/town/port. About 4km with no lights and no indication to reach there. Absolutely not doable at night. The host will say he will provide taxi services whenever needed but then after we asked for a taxi at 9pm his response was "sorry no taxi too late" and he didn't care at all about his guests reaching the lodge. Luckily some locals helped, its not so easy to get a taxi there. Day trips arranged by the host are pricey and not well organised. Make sure he explains everything to you IN DETAILS before you agree to buy anything. He was not as honest as he looks. We booked a bird watching tour early morning and another tour at 8:00 am which INCLUDED transport to the port to catch a boat (4km away). He told the guy from bird watching to take us walking to the port (so he would obviously save on our transport fee) We refused since this was a bird watching tour, not a fast 4km walk to catch the boat. He tried but it didn't work this time, we came back and asked for the transport. Also we booked a night tour to watch some animals and insects, we were ready to go somewhere but the tour was actually in the lodge. He never told us that, and it lasted 1 hour not 2 as he said.... pretty disappointed by his behaviour
