GreenPoint Drake Bay

One of the best places in Costa Rica: friendly staff, surrounded by the jungle (and its animals), good breakfast, spacious room.

We loved it here! It's quite minimal but if you're okay with that you'll love it. We'd sometimes spend mornings or late afternoons in the outdoors seating area and we saw loads of wildlife including a family of capuchin monkeys on our last day. The host and his family are great and will help you with anything you need. They offer meals themselves - amazing. Flambeed plantain was a highlight. Thank you for having us!

Not a negative but just a heads up - if you don't drive you'll need to get taxis to and from like we did as it's not near the main town.

Beautiful place in the middle of nature, waking up to birds, howling monkeys and others jungle sounds. Lovely owners who are very helpfull. My tours were cancelled because of a storm and the owner helped me with getting everything sorted. Owner is a real good cook as well makes lovely breakfast and dinner.

Yes the WiFi doesnt work well All the time. But it is also good to get off your phone and enjoy your surroundings ones in a while.

Location in the middle of the jungle! Saw some toucans, lots of hummingbirds and other birds around. Keep in mind that if you don't have a car you need to take a taxi for 10us one way. It's REALLY a long walk to the town. The bugalow was spacious, nice and clean. Great for the price. Internet works in the common space but is really slow. Super nice owner that will call you taxis and organize everything you need.

I didn't like that they leave fruits outside so the monkeys and birds come to eat it. I wished we didn't make the wild animals dependent on humans.

Very good jungle atmosphère, the food was awesome and the chef is very into it, doing beautiful dishes.

No hanger in the room.

Being in the middle of nature, hearing and seeing the birds, the breakfasts were great and so was the dinner we had (14 US PP)

The cabin was quite musty and damp, it was very hard to get any clothes dry after it had been raining. Lots of mosquitos and bugs in the cabin at night but it was good they provided mosquito nets

Due to start of rainy season regardless of how much mozzie spray I used, I got eaten alive.

The place is really unique and beautiful. You are in the middle of the jungle and surrounded by animals and plants. It was very relaxing and quiet. The owner prepares delicious breakfast and you can have a great dinner for a very reasonable price there. Absolutely recommend dining there instead heading to town! Everything was clean and you had mosquito protection in the room. The atmosphere is really nice and you have breakfast and dine with other guests, so it is quite easy to get in contact with each other, if you want to.

We had a car, so we didn't have any problems going wherever we want. People without a car had to pay a steep taxi fee of 10 US-Dollars each way, so we recommend keeping that in mind. Unfortunately we didn't have a fan in our room and it was insanely hot during the nights. Our double bed was small for two people and the mosquito net made it even worse.
