Toad Hall Hostel

Great room, excellent location

Simple, old style hostel. Quirky space, facilities for a cuppa and a bed.

It's a hostel. Don't expect a 5 star hotel!!

Kitchen facilities were good, location was convenient, shower was fine.

My room had no radiator, only a small electric heater which I didn't find till my last morning. [The other rooms had good radiators]. It would have been helpful if the owner/manager had put in an appearance.

The location was near to everything mountains, waterfall, even beach beautiful here . Owners are very friendly and lovely people. The accommodation is behind the petrol station what is coming very handy 😀

If you need just a clean, friendly place to sleep, i well recommend.

Simple but comfortable, warm beds and warm showers with a solid kitchen

Toad Hall, or as I would prefer to call. It "turd hole" was a complete shock to most of my senses. When arriving at the property the first offence was the many rotting vehicles situated around it's proximity. When entering the hole, I was immediately confronted by a warm smell not too disimilar to my late nans knickers that she would hang over her radiators after she had soiled herself. This smell then entered my throat area and I can still taste it now. Overall toad Hall was a cross between a Turd hole and something out of the texas chainsaw massacre movie. I took one look at the day room and then shut door and drove away. Total waste of time and money.... Avoid at all costs if you value your senses being overly offended..

As above... It was an awful place set invetween a petrol station and a mechnanic shop..

Toad is an old style hostel. Not a lot of them left. I personally like it, but understand those who don't. You have a bit of feeling time stopped there. It is not designer vision of old. Things are real old there, but in perfectly woking condition. Thanks to this, you.feel like home. I saw comments that people felt unsafe there but this is how real life in a small town looks like. No need to lock everything. In return you can hear locals gathering and signing together as owner lives downstairs. Lovely treat. My room.was dry, warm and fairly clean, had comfy bed. It's all I needed.
