Hostel Swastik

Great location and great vibe. I met a lot of interesting people at Hostel Swastik that went on to become good friends. The staff are helpful and Bishwo the owner is a really great guy with interesting projects ongoing. I will never stay anywhere else except here whenever I'm in Bhaktapur.

Good hospitality

Amazing place and location! Bhaktapur is explored easily from here. I came just before the busy season and had the dorm room mostly to myself and loved it! The owner is very friendly and kind. The beds are good, internet too. Privacy curtains on dorm beds are are a massive plus! Did I mention the great location?! I stayed over a week and very grateful! I had a great time while exploring this city and knowing I had this place to come back to, I was happy.

Wish there was a curtain on the big window of the dorm towards the toilets but not end of the world. The hot water in the showers was an issue at times but when it worked, it was great. Power cuts on occasion in the city. Happens. Can be noisy at nights if holidays/events happen nearby. Once, I had to go to the next building over to take a hot shower at the hotel side but glad that the staff allowed for that and solved that issue. Wish there was breakfast on offer but being on the low season, I get it. Coming down to the reception from the dorm upstairs can be tricky with steep stairs, be careful.

Owner is very kind, helpful and funny. Always willing to make your stay good. Don’t hesitate to ask him for any advice.

The staff was nice and helpful.. beds comfortable and the place clean enough.. good vibes to hung around the hostel and perfect location. In the outskirts of the main town, close to the bus stop. Perfect for backpackers

For the price we paid we expected more! The room was extremely tiny! Thin walls, no towell and one shower to share with the whole hostel.. Bhaktapur prices are high for some reason.. But still.. not worth it for a double room, you can get a private bathroom for the same price.

This property is in the heart of the Old Town, and Bishwo is full of recommendations for what to see during your stay here. The room is comfortable with clean facilities, and affordable as well which makes everything easier. All the staff are friendly, and even helped me put together a short trip into the Valley for two days which I really appreciated.

Super cozy and friendly hostel in a great location. Bishwo, the owner is very helpful and knows a lot about the area. He helped me with my indian visa and recommended the best local restaurants and places to go in Bhaktapur as well as outside the city. The hot showers work very well and the beds are comfortable. Furthermore you can use the rooftop terrace of the guesthouse just across the streets for some amazing sunset.

Super friendly staff and great vibe!

Super good staff and great vibe. Stayed like a month there so I can say it was good ;) A couple of small things to fix there and there but the staff knows and get things done quiet quickly !
