Hostal Raymi

Great location right next to the main square, cafes, restaurants etc. I got upgraded to a room with insuite bathroom for myself.

It was a bit chilly at night.

The hostal was locates at city center, in the walking distance to everything. The room was spacious enough for single person and clean. Even though it's cold, blanket was thick enough. I came very early in the morning, the owner allowed me to early check in, thank you very much.

- Toilet bin - Toilet quite stinky, understand that it's because of toilet bin, if toilet bin was replaced everyday the smell should gone. - Hospitality towards foreigner - I had late night flight to Cusco so I stayed in Cusco for one night, planned to take sacred valley tour and drop by Ollantaytambo the next day. But once I arrive Cusco hostel (22.40 pm) I got informed at site from Cusco hostel staff that there'll be no Collectivo to Ollantaytambo tmr due to driver strike all day and sacred valley tour I booked was cancelled and yes, Cusco hostel staff forgot to inform me beforehand. I asked Raymi hostal via WhatsApp about the possibility to cancel first night stay due to this issue. What's she replyed back is similar to why didn't I take Collectivo to Ollantaytambo earlier that day. Once I informed her that I just arrived and showed her my boarding pass time as prove, she just replied that if she could get to Cusco next morning, she's cancelled my booking. Woww, you know, at the same time Cusco hostel staff and owner were trying to check on alternative options for me, but this hostal just said like I don't know and don't care, manage yourself. Without any help or suggestions. However apart from this point, she's quite friendly when I stayed there.

Family business. Great location. Wonderful service. Spotless. Quiet atmosphere and comfortable bed. All you can expect and more. I hope to be back

Jennifer and family are lovely and very helpful. This is a great location, and has a range of budget rooms. I recommend splashing on the slightly nicer rooms on the upper floors which have lovely views. They also offer simple private rooms at dorm prices.

Great location, right in town! Staff provided a lovely breakfast on their rooftop that have a great view of the ruins and whole city.

Our rooms door and entrance was tiny we had to bend down heaps to get in and we’re both over 6 foot, really struggled to get out backpacks in and out. The room was nice enough, but floor was uneven and felt like it would fall in and roof just had a plastic thing over it covering a massive whole that we could hear someone crawling about in. Staff were friendly enough.
