Location is quite far out of the way but this made it more enjoyable as it was quiet and it is a jungle experience. Definitely do need a bike though. Room/en suite was always clean. Relatively quiet hostel during our stay which was a bonus as our room was empty. Still quite sociable, everyone was friendly.

Understand koh tao accommodation is expensive in general but we felt the price didn’t reflect the hostel. Too expensive in my opinion. During our stay there was an altercation between a staff member and the volunteers which involved a lot of shouting and smashing glasses. Probably a one off but felt it was inappropriate and unprofessional as guests were present.

Wonderful place with clean rooms, clean toilets and showers. You feel very welcome when you get there with an introduction of the hostel. The common area is perfect with the most perfect view.

The access to the hostel is very complicated. If you don't rent a motorbike, it's very difficult to get there. If you rent a motorbike but have never ridden one before, it will be a very nerve-wracking journey to the hostel. Once you reach the hostel's parking lot, you have to walk up a mountain on a very rough path, and once you reach the top, you have to start going down a very steep path with no handrails or supports. The access to the place is really difficult. I shared a room with 7 people, and my bed had a broken curtain. The German guy who welcomed me removed it and told me he would fix it, but he never reported it, so I had to sleep without a curtain and no privacy at all. The German volunteer who welcomed me was not friendly at all. There is a German volunteer who undoubtedly creates a friendly and fun atmosphere at the hostel. I wouldn't return. There are better options on the island.
