Excellent location and fab communal spaces with superb views

Not so keen on all the codes to get in - would have appreciated this info the day before. Code didn’t work next day when one of us went to shop for breakfast.

"Great stay... exceeded our expectations"

Lovely place. Was not quite sure about the communal living and kitchen area, but it was amazing. Very clean kitchen, well organised for tea,.coffee and breakfasts cereals with bread, toasters, microwave, oven and pots and pans to cook your own dinner... amazing.

Only slight issue was we left at 630am but the shower was cold. Don't know if the hot water kicks in until later.

"Lovely, clean, good value accommodation."

Lovely location near Amble harbour and facilities. Great upmarket hostel, would be good for families/groups of young people who can easily manage to get up to top bunks! Really nice lounge area and well-equipped communal kitchen.

We arrived at a time when we’d been told reception would be open but there was no member of staff available, however self check-in instructions were clear and effective. Some confusion about how to obtain towels could have been avoided by some information in the book-in text. Water temperature couldn’t be changed and room temperature could only be adjusted via reception (assuming someone was on duty).

"A very high standard of accommodation in an excellent location"

The room was exceptional. Very spacious for a wheelchair user. Comfortable beds and a great view over the marina. The addition of a terrace and seating was a bonus. Excellent parking with a disabled space reserved for us. The upstairs lounge was comfortable with a great view. The provision of basic breakfast was unexpected but very nice.

It would be more helpful to a disabled person to have grab rails and a shower seat in the shower room. Also the fixed shower head made it difficult and a bit uncomfortable to shower effectively.

"Amble retreat"

Very well presented modern and clean beautiful bathroom spacious

Safe modern common sense about living in someone else’s house !!! An absolute joy !!
