Radcliffes Lodge

Very impressed with all the facilities and provision of tea and coffee along with breakfast. The lodge was ideally located for our walking trip. We were lucky to visit during a quiet spell so enjoyed the peace and tranquility. Any communication over the phone was dealt with in a friendly and professional manner. We felt well looked after

The place was lovely, clearly a lot of thought has been put into the decor, furniture and ambience. The bespoke built wooden bunk beds were really wonderful. Lovely views and parking easy. The kitchen was extremely clean and very well stocked with everything you need to cook, plus bread, cereal, milk, butter, jams, tea, coffee etc provided for all guests in the morning.

Our room was lovely but it was right underneath the communal area and, unfortunately, a birthday party was taking place directly above us for most of the night until at least 2am. Music, singing, dancing right above us. The sound of people's feet was slightly deafening at times. I understand it was Saturday evening and it is a communal area but I still didn't expect the amount of noise. Luckily my two children were able to fall asleep before it really got loud but my husband and myself really stuggled to get any sleep before 2am (we had ear plugs too). Then the kids were awake at 6am. I would suggest that if there are suitable rooms to allocate which aren't underneath the communal area, that would be better for families (or adults who love their sleep!). We only stayed that one night so I appreciate other nights may be different had there not been a party taking place.

Great location, well maintained & shared facilities had everything you could require. Breakfast ie. Bread for toast, cereal, milk & coffee was an added bonus. Dog friendly & didn’t over charge us for being able to bring our furry friends.

I couldn’t seem to turn the heating down in our room. It would go up higher, but not down so had to have the window open.

Large clean room, bedding done, location, price, superb facilities to cook our food, quiet, safe, EV charger, all kitchen equipment needed, bread, milk, tea and coffee/ breakfast included, nice people there

EV chargers rather expensive

It was so clean and well run , the two staff members were brilliant even though I messed the booking up and helped us sort it . I wouldn’t hesitate to stop here again , we thought it was a brand new build but staff said it’s 4 years old . I think this is the nicest place I’ve stayed for a very long time and not what I was expecting at all . Do yourself a favour and visit

Hard for us to find , sat nav didn’t recognise the postcode . Also when we found it the signs didn’t really tell us where to go . But all of that is minor problem we just looked to the harbour and big blue building
