The owner was very friendly and helpful. The position was perfect, very quite. And the room was simply, but bed were comfortable and ac worked perfectly

Super établissement bien situé avec 2 terrasses donnant sur le Nil. Endroit paisible et calme. A l’exception du gérant (M. Seko Kato) le personnel parle très peu anglais mais tout le monde fait le maximum pour rendre votre séjour inoubliable. Les repas sont délicieux…

The price! It’s the cheapest option on the island and the owner is helpful and doesn’t try to scam you. He got us a Felucca ride for 400 EGP (8$) for an hour which is super cheap (private). If you are backpacking and need a budget friendly option: there you go!

It was not super clean. I understand that when something is that cheap you can’t expect great luxury. But the bathroom had a lot of dirt and I had to clean myself a little to put my things. I had to use my own towel as well because it was very itchy (not sure why it was 100% coton). The room was very small (again the price makes this normal) but make sure you have earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise :) Also, there is a new construction just in front of the guest house so you don’t get a direct Nile view like in the pictures anymore.

This is a fairly basic but clean and affordable guest house on the quiet side of elephantine island that was a wonderful place to stay in to get away from the hectic activity from downtown Aswan. Seko is a wonderful host and helpful to understand local area and logistics. I particularly liked the rooftop area - it was breezy and a wonderful place to do catchup on some work.
