Jacobin Hostel & Cabins

Staff were so helpful, my camera was stolen on the beach and the hotel staff found out who stole it and alerted the police and retrieved my camera, they were amazing

Martinas Place is great for travellers, solo or groups. The kitchen has good utensils available and a nice communal area to sit/eat/play cards etc.

The only downside to our stay was that the WiFi was very temperamental in our room, I don’t think it was strong enough to reach all areas of the hostel.

hostel is nice, not fancy but you will find everything you need.

not a social hostel!! (at least for us) and be aware that some of the tour guides sleep in the dormitory’s and get up at 5am (they were not really respectful)

The staff helped arrange tours, ferries, and answered questions to have the best experience possible. The common area had a nice configuration making it easy to meet fellow travelers. It was great they had lots of drying lines so we can put wet clothes out there. Small locker built next to our bunk bed.

Got bit several times by mosquitoes and there were other guests with similar experiences even with our repellent. Maybe put a mosquito net around the common area or on the beds. Filtered water machine was very slow to fill up my water bottle.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped me with booking a tour to the Corcovado national park. Also, the receptionist told me it would be better to wear boots, so he borrowed me some. Literally saved my good sneakers!
