Starfall Lodge

The room was very presentable and clean, the showers and toilets, while shared, were fantastic. All toilets were always clean and the showers are very spacious and also clean. The breakfast was sufficient, cereals, fruits, coffees and toast were always out. The shuttle when you arrive is fantastic, we got picked up from echoland where our bus dropped us off at 7:30pm and they took us straight to Rhythm in Happo to pickup our rental gear, and then took us back to the lodge. Our suitcases were already taken upstairs to our room while we were picking up rental gear. They have a shuttle service to the resort of your choosing, you can reserve your spot on a shuttle for certain times on a blackboard in the lobby which makes it really hastle free. Getting back to the lodge is easy too, catch one of the Hakuba valley buses to the bus terminal and then a 2 minute walk to the Lawson's and there is the shuttle waiting for you. They run a drop off service for dinner as well, same process as getting to the resort. And they even dropped us off at the bus station when it was time for us to depart. All the staff were fantastic, we always felt like we were welcome and all staff went above and beyond. Tom, Maddy, and Will were all fantastic. Coen (sorry if it's wrong) was one of the owners we meet and was a great guy, he was really helpful the day we were leaving in organising our last shuttle and letting us even use the showers after our day on the hill before we left. They also have a Rhythm rental return station so you can leave your gear with them and just scan a QR code to return your gear. Definitinetly book a stay here if you can as it's worth the visit. I will definitely be returning next time I make my way out to Hakuba Valley.

Family of 4 stayed in Taurus room for 6. Excellent stay! Big thanks to the team! You won’t find a better staff! The lodge owners take care of their staff and the staff took great care of us! Daily breakfast and shuttles to local mountains were the perfect way to start each day! Shuttle: Staff was very accommodating when we wanted rides to restaurants and the walk back was reasonable; 25 minutes was the longest walk and was quite pleasant even in a light snow. Location: there are 10 ski resorts that are all different, so unless you wanted to stay on one and stay there, the location doesn’t really matter. We went to several different and the shuttle system the lodge runs was great! Starfall was also a 10 minute walk one way to the bus terminal and 10 the other to the train. Room was great! Beds were comfortable and plenty of space in our room. Closet had a waist high shelf perfect for a full size suitcase and more. Lots of hangers. Warm heater. Facilities were awesome-we had two daughters (9, 13) with us. They were very comfortable and had a great time with the staff. There are 6 toilets in private set ups. Never had to wait to use the bathroom. The two showers were also great. Warm outer rooms to undress/dress and spacious showers with two shower heads; nice hot water! We never had to wait for a shower either. Dry room: very helpful and had our ski gear nice and toasty in the AM! If anything, the room was a little hot while getting ready, but we just stepped out onto the covered porch to finish dressing for the slopes! Overall-can’t recommend enough!

Laundry: we didn’t need or use, to be fair. The laundry is just a washer and you have to dry clothes in your room. Seems to be a common thing in Japan and Starfall provides small drying racks and lots of wooden hangers. Heater would get the job done quick!

Clean with good facilities, great views and awesome services! Shuttles (drop offs/pickups) were always reliable and everything run like a well oiled machine. Staff were always helpful and super friendly.

Staff was nice, rooms and facilities were clean and great. Pick up and drop off service was great and really useful. Also provided good tips and recommendations for food, skiing and other activities.

I loved the experience here. Each and every one of the staff made my time in this lodge an absolute pleasure. Seriously, these guys get it. Clean, fun, convenient, close to Lawsons (thats important for those late night urgers hahaha). I'm stoked I decided to book here and would do so again in a heartbeat. Keep it up guys!
