Coco Khao Sok Hostel

The room was spotless and the staff were exceptionally helpful with booking the lake tour and onward travel. The bakery was great to have breakfast on site.

Very clean facilities, comfortable beds, nice balcony, great communication and it was easy to organize the tour.

Beds are ok, but I didn’t enjoy the hostel itself. Lockers are very small (small backpack only) and very dirty. The bathrooms are very small for the amount of people. The staff wasn’t very helpful because they don’t understand a lot of English. You have to pay in cash and have to leave cash deposits, so bring money with you. Book your transports through 12goAsia, there things are way more expensive. The one day lake tour was very good, definitely recommend. The cafe next to the hostel which belongs to the hostel has ok breakfast and meals, beware that kitchen closes very early

The bed was like a small room really, being a really large single bed (not a bunkbed) with curtains and a cupboard. It was very comfortable as well. The terrace was a nice place to hang out. All areas were cleaned regularly except the coffee table at the terrace

The AC was set too cold. Room door beeped loudly when you read the card. Staff was not very friendly. Coffee and laundry were more expensive than some other places

Everything was perfect I could have easily put a 10, the room is perfect, the beds feel like a mountain cottage, very cozy, and the staff is very sweet

I woke up in the middle of 5 bed bugs and now my whole body is a red itchy pimple, and currently experiencing an allergic reaction.

Beds were really comfortable with a lot of storage space, both inside the cubicle and underneath the bed. AC worked really well. Location was pretty good. Most of the staff were friendly.

One staff member was very unhelpful and unfriendly. Bakery was terrible, maybe we got it on an off day but the croissants were clearly not fresh from that morning, as they tasted stale. Not worth the hype. Our roommates were smoking weed almost non-stop and they really smelled up the room to the point it was nauseating, we wish the hostel had some regulations about that. Showers and toilets were not maintained properly. We booked the Khao Sok lake tour through this hostel, and while the park was stunning the tour itself was a bit of a let down. yBoats were very tightly packed for the 1 hour journey to and from the huts. Most of the huts were shared and not private, and extremely small. We also wished we were told beforehand that all swimming must be done with lifejackets on, as this somewhat dimmed the experience for us. The tour as a whole was very “backpacker-y”, there must’ve been 50+ people all staying on the same lake accommodation. Food was mediocre. If we did it again, we wouldn’t book through Coco, but instead ask around for a better option.

Great location for lake tours. Dorms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Good value.

Nothing really, facilities were basic as expected for the budget!
