Bolita Trails and Lodging

If you are looking for pure nature and you dont mini to sleep in rustic accomondation in the jungle, the place is for you.

I usually never bother to write reviews here, but man, this place... I just needed to give love back! If you get the chance to stay here, DO! This place is INCREDIBLE! I'm so grateful that it is being offered at such a low price instead of making a luxury resort out of it, which they could well do. While walking around on their INSANE trails (sometimes naked, what a cool experience :D), I even met an ant-eater! This hostel was the highlight of my whole trip in Costa Rica and I will be recommending it to anyone who plans to go. Thank you!!

If you like hiking and living outdoors; GO HERE. It is so worth the journey from wherever you come from. To get here you have to hike +-30 minutes uphill from Dos Brazos. If you're fit you can take your whole backpack etc with you on the hike, however I'd recommend leaving some of your stuff below so you don't have to take everything along. You can buy some food (eggs/rice/tomato sauce/pasta) in the hostel, however I'd suggest brining your own if you can since they are a bit more expensive on the spot. I hitchhiked from puerto jiménez to Dos Brazos, be prepared to wait some time since there is not a lot of traffic going from the main road to Dos Brazos.

The location is stunning and cannot be topped. The prepared trails are marvellous. And the host gives you a warm welcome from the first moment.

Great hostel in the middle of the jungle with private trails so you can save some money. And very good library.

Absolutely fabulous place. After half an hour hike through the forest you arrive to this well maintained place. True that the eating depends on what you bring with you but there is always someone who has more than needs. The trails are great and very well marked.

Not as a complaint but as a remark: those who expect privacy in the deluxe rooms, there isn't much of it.

Best localization you could possibly imagine.

I'm not sure anyone cleans the bathroom honestly. Also the kitchen was not the cleanest.

This place is absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much Val & Ron to enable this. There should be more places like Bolita around the world. We will be back :)
