Kingfisher Hostel

My second time staying here with Thilina the lovely host and owner of Kingfisher Hostel. I was so happy we could spend more time together hanging out. Staying here is the highlight of my time in Anuradhapura! He treats his guests with the utmost respect and care. He helped me get medicine for my heat rash and gave me a ride to the bus station. I came as a guest and left as a good friend! I wish him all the best with his dream to open a bigger hostel!!

in the city center. easy to catch bus the host is super helpful and considerate bed is comfortable. nice sleep have free water bike rental small.and.cozy

The owner is really friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean. The beds are huge and each bed has curtains and an individual fan. There is drinking water available and you can also use the kitchen. Good location close to the bus station and near lots of restaurants and supermarkets.

I never got the wifi password but I also forgot to ask for it. Maybe it would be helpful if it was written down somewhere in the room.

The host is the kindest guy in Sri Lanka! Plus it’s a great location to see the sunset over the lake that is 2 minutes away!

Very friendly and helpful owner!! The accommodation is very close to the new bus station and the ancient city can be reached quickly by bike (which you can rent there). The beds are comfy and quite big

Could be cleaner and it would be nice to have a towel rail or similar in the bathroom for showering.

It was very Dark and warm in the property, but the owner has plans to expand which we can’t wait to see!

The hostel is simple and comfortable. Cozy bed and sofa in the room to relax. Enough space for backpacks and lockers. Kitchen furnished. Kettle and water refill. The owner's simply fabulous. Gentle and helpful, gives all information one's need about places and even transportation. Towel provided. Good bike rental to visit the mesmerising Anuradhapura sacred city. Really close to the bus station and 10 minutes tuk tuk to the railway station, the place is situated in a quiet street along one of the main roads. Restaurants, supermarkets and good street food in the immediate surroundings. Thanks for the perfect hospitality.

Great location, luxury double beds, good price for bicycles.

Some beggar was coughing around the room at one night. May not be the hostel's fault.
