Hostel Clandestino Maderas

The volunteer staff was friendly and welcoming, wifi worked as expected, showers were good and there was a fan for every bed in the dorm.

The hike uphill to the hostel was sweaty, otherwise the location was good. The kitchen got a little crowded at times, and could use more spoons.

By far the best hostel myself and my girlfriend have stayed in during our trip to Central and South America. There is such a special environment/atmosphere created here which is ultimately due to the dedicated and friendly people that run the hostel. The common areas (including the kitchen) are all beautiful. Whether it's the living area which looks out over the jungle or the kitchen which is modern and has all the equipment you could ever need. Also, the beach is 5 minutes away from the hostel. You will undoubtedly fall in love with Maderas and Hostel Clandestino and never want to leave!

Incredible location in the treetops above Maderas. Friendly welcome and helpful staff. Well equipped kitchen.

For the price the cabins are a bit run-down - our toilet seat was broken, the kitchen wasn’t very well equipped and there wasn’t much of an area to sit.

The best place I’ve stayed in Nicaragua! Great vibes and feels instantly like home. Well stocked kitchen, very basic shower with cold water but it’s not a problem.

It’s open to the elements so you see lots of insects, monkeys and bugs :)

A very nice hostel, into the jungle.The stuff was really helpful and the atmosphere was great!

They should put a sign in the street to show where is the hostel cause the bus left you in a crossroad and you can get lost.Also I don't like the open kitchen (but that's personal)
