Hostel Vista do Mar

Best hostel ever ! The location is amazing really esay to find, its super clean and the communs spaces are Perfect. Beds and rooms are very clean. Last but not least, nevinha is the best host ever <3 she is very welcoming and caring for her guests

It had a super view from high up and the owners were kind. I hadn’t eaten and they brought me a sandwich for dinner, and a thermos of coffee in the morning.

I arrived at night, no sign marking the hostel, and I got lost. I wrote them to help me but no one came. I ended up in the favela where large weapons, drugs and money seemed to abound. The stairs to the hostel were excessive.

The view is perfect . The room is not soundproof at all. Every time someone walks up and down the stairs and passes by the window, the people inside can hear it. At night, guests talk loudly and watch TV outside the living room until 3 am. There is no hot water in the shower room, so I had to boil water to take a shower. It was really an unforgettable experience. The thin white transparent curtains can't block any light at all. At night, the lights from the corridor outside shine in, as bright as day, making it difficult to fall asleep. After checking in, I found that you need to give you an additional 20 Brazilian reals for a thin small bath towel. The unused soap and bath towels are not allowed to be refunded. It is really unexpected and weird.

If I have a chance go to Rio, I will like it to search another location and hotel.

The staff are very friendly

The ambiance at the hotel was excellent. The attention and care were also very fine. The deck and the view made it into an unforgetable stay.

It is far from the nearest street and up a hundred stairs. In the high summer, which is when we were there, it is an expedition into overheating to go in an out. If you have big lugguage like we do, Then you must get creative and a little lucky. They will help you, but you must have a phone and contact worked out.

The view was incredible The staff was kind.

A lot of steps it was very hard for me. The way you clean the restroom after you make your needs.. I didn't know that the hostel is inside a favela.

Facilities muy bien. The view from balcony is spectacular. 10 beds dorm have two private bathrooms with shower and airconditions. Vert comfortable.

Because of the Carnival, little bit crowded and couldn't extend the stay.
