very peaceful and quiet. amazing terrace with beautiful views.

takes a while to travel anywhere from the hostel. the en-suites kept clogging because people were flushing paper, but they never put up a sign to stop people doing this, and the rooms started to smell. there weren’t enough lockers for everybody. the kitchen was not well stocked (no sharp knives, only tiny plates and no bowls). was more expensive than I normally pay, but maybe because it was carnival

Am amazing experience staying in a favela and seeing daily life around you . The host Lavinya is warm, helpful and engaging . Views are amazing from the sitting area. Wifi is good and air con strong.

Be aware it is a bit of walking up and down steps
