nice little resort

Quiet with great outlook. Easy, safe parking. All the facilities I needed.

There are a few minor fit and finish things( carpet and door stop) that need a little attention. None of which affected my relaxation

I highly recommend this place. The location is awesome being situated right on the beach. The service station is at the entrance of the resort. It's so convenient. The apartment had 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms. Very nice layout. The property managers made check in and out easy. Along with being so quick to respond when I locked myself out. check out was super easy with clear instructions and communication.

That I locked myself out because of being too lazy to look up the key code and tried to guess it. 🫣

The location was nice, apartment was good.

There was no hair dryer, one of the mattresses was lumpy like a spring had broken, the washing machine looked as though it was broken, the timer on the oven didn't work. There was no door on the bathroom, looked like it had been there once and not replaced. The pillows were lumpy.

After full payment to Booking.com I was sent a text from the owner stating that I needed to pay a security deposit of $250 and photos of drivers license and number plate before checkin details would be provided. I wouldn't have booked this place if that had been made clear in the booking. (perhaps I missed some fine print somewhere). I then had to send multiple reminders before finally getting my security deposit back three weeks later. I had asked for photos of my identity documents deleted but not received any indication that this has happened. Very basic kitchenware, couldn't use the oven. Felt distrusted and annoyed that I had to keep asking for my security deposit back.

The unit has fantastic views over the ocean.

Sorry to say, but the unit was not as clean as it should have been. Food spatters in the microwave and dirt in the fridge. Clogged drain in the bathroom vanity wasn’t great either. I am hoping those defaults have since been addressed.

We enjoyed our relaxing cosy Winter weekend at Aqualuna Apartments. There was plenty of space for 4 adults and we liked being so close to the beach.

The location was wonderful and the views great. The decor was okay.

The curtain rod brackets were loose which made us nervous in case the curtains were to fall down. There wasn't enough cutlery, only one teaspoon and one sharp bread knife. No bowls for fruit or salad. Extra chairs would have been helpful, we weren't able to bring grandkids for a meal due to lack of seating. Hinge on corner kitchen cupboard needs fixing. The hosts were a bit too enthusiastic with their reminders of dos and don'ts. First time I have had to provide a licence and number plate information with booking.com, I've travelled in many countries and hadn't been asked for this amount of security. I found it to be an invasion of my privacy and could potentially be used for identity fraud.
