Staff was super friendly and had lots of common sense in finding solutions (shout-out to Mariana who was able to find a workaround for us to pay when then card on our phone kept failing to go through)

Wish there were proper showers and changing rooms next to the pool area, had a couple of instances where I would've liked to get out of the pool and just change for my next activity right there, as opposed to have to go all the way up to our condo and come all the way back down

The two night stay was part of a tour, We arrived at about 2 pm and although we were all checked in at reception no keys were available until 3 p.m. The room was a Delux Mountain View room. Well yes you can see the mountains but across the car park. I suspect the delux part was the fact our room had a balcony yet the room next to ours hadn’t. The room was large and well maintained. No USB ports available so adaptors required, beware! We didn’t eat at the pool bar as the prices were quite steep and some fellow travellers had opted for fish and considered it well overcooked. When they mentioned this the maitre de did say they were not the first to report this. No apology. Breakfast was buffet style and was both of good choice, quality and quantities. Would I book personally, no. It is just another large international, sterile type of hotel. No character.

3.5-4 Feels like a hotel not a resort. The rooms kinda have a stuffy smell, hotel hallways definitely smells like cigarette smoke. Balcony view is beautiful and peaceful, especially when no one is in the pool. Kid friendly places, lots of kids and adults enjoying the pool until 9 pm. I loved it. At times the currents maybe m too strong for swimming but I like listening to the waves and walking the beach. We heard the waves from our room while we slept. The resort is small, the picture is the entire resort. There were NO activities. Woke up to people smoking on the balcony. The gym was a good size. The spa prices are reasonable. I had an amazing massage from therapist Flory. Appointments are booked at the front and they arrange from the therapist to come to the hotel. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast was included. Our first night we walked to the recommended restaurant (El Margarl) it seemed similar to the hotel. We also had lunch at the pool area. It was fine. We were safe and there were no wild parties or women of the night during our stay. Took a taxi to a beach restaurant for $5. I would not return as there are other places to visit. Plus after this trip, I realized we like the LaFortuna area better than Jaco and Manuel Antonio.
