"Great beach, great restaurant but dangerous when wet"

6.0

It had a great snorkeling beach with lots of coral and small aquarium fish, the room was spacious with balcony and good variety of tv stations even in English, the breakfast had a good selection with freshly prepared omelettes and was located on their beach restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and the staff there were so helpful and friendly, plenty of lounges by the pools or beach

The lift to the beach was out of order, the tile floors throughout the property and faux wooden indoor and outdoor walkways to pools and restaurants and steps are an accident waiting to happen in the rainy season or when wet, I slipped and fell on the wet wooden walkway on the way to brekkie, no harm done!,the steep long downhill entrance road going into the property from the main road was the most dangerous part of riding my motor scooter in LBJ with big cars coming up. the washboard rutted road surface, the free wifi packed up in my room and no amount of pleading with staff got it working again, oh and the pools they had never had clear water

"Komodo was great!"

10.0

There wasn't a bad thing about this place. From the time I booked it months previous we had good communication. They set up my moms room all nice with flowers on the bed, hooked us up with scooters, and just overall friendly people. Just a great place. Pools were warm, food was decent and the beach was all to our selves. Thank you!

It was all good. Truly a good time

"Location, Location, Location. But....."

6.0

The location with a beach at your doorstep, was great. The resort was a short drive out of town so you will need transport to reach the town centre for shopping and dining etc. The resort arranged scooters for us, so that is an option. The beach is peaceful and tranquil, so it is a great place to relax and unwind. You can hire a canoe and go snorkelling on a nearby island, which is great fun. There is a large outdoor eating area which was really nice - as long as you like cats, the place is a cat lovers paradise. There were two large pools near the beach or you can swim straight from the sand and the water was clean.

The rooms were very basic, but big. Our bathroom however was so dirty that we had to request to be moved to another room, as our toilet, which had clearly been repeatedly covered with sealant, started leaking into the shower. Not a good look guys. On arrival, after pre-paying for two rooms and five nights accomodation, well over $1,000 AUD, I was asked for a $20 deposit for each room key, which, it has to be said, I found a little insulting. The title resort, is a little misleading. There was beer available, but nothing else - I think the people in the market in town will still be telling the story of the three Aussies who bought all the wine and spirits they could find - but come on guys, a G and T by the beach is not much to ask for. The general feel of the place was that it needed a good clean, and the breakfast, well fine, was nothing to write home about, with limited selections. The double burger for dinner was pretty good though. Be warned, beach furniture is in short supply, so grab a day bed early - and carefully, the few that were there were old wooden ones with parts falling off and nails sticking out. Overall, the place had a bit of a run down feel about it which left us not feeling quite comfortable.

Location is cool

Everything else: rooms are dirty and old, bed sheets and towels are covered in old yellow spots, hotel food made me sick, wifi didn’t work inside rooms and all staff was so slow in understanding guests like it was their first working day ever
