Jervis Bay Holiday Cabins in Sussex Inlet

Decent location

Terrible place, smells bad, the sheets were yellow. The management rushed us in the morning at 9.30 AM to leave immediately, completely unnecessary pressure was put on us.

The property has a lot of potential,the lock up garage is good , and the fact the ac worked was good but wasn’t confident to run it because of the overall cleanliness of the cabin , proximity to the water was good though

On our way to the property I received a message from the property asking me to bring our own towels luckily we did pack some either way we were told we wouldn’t be charged a linen or cleaning fee ( I had already paid in full ) We arrived and we did the standard check the sheets and and pillow slips , the bed in the main room had been made but the sheets and doona covers hadn’t been changed out there was little pubic hairs on them and pillow slips had sweat stains all over them , the pillow slips in the two other boys rooms were also filthy and we had to put the sheets onto the bunk beds they were stripped and not replaced , I had to go to reception and collect new sheets and pillow slips and change them myself , the owner came down and took photos of that stuff and proceeded to tell me about her ongoing fight with the cleaner people about rates and showed me there text conversation ! Every bedroom smelled of mold and all windows had to be opened up ! Went to have a shower took clothes and a towel into the bathroom and the fitting for the shower sprayed water in every direction and over the shower screen soaking the entire bathroom including my clothes and my towel . Turns out while I’m having a shower the water is leaking from the plumbing underneath in the lockup garage on the washing machine and then the floor and all over the scooters and helmets and fishing bags /beach gear . On our last evening there after we moved a bath mat in the bathroom and there was four cockroaches that scurried out from under neath 🤢 not long after this my partner dropped her earring in the bedroom Bent over to get it and there was food wrappers , empty bottles of coke empty smoke packets and food crumbs / remnants under the bed it was absolutely disgusting we felt sick that we’d been sleeping on such filth . My partner also pointed out to me to my dismay the blood on the walls beside the toilet and the type of blood that it was ,(period ) splattered on the walls !!!!

Located in a nice and quiet place, close to cafe & shops. We hired a house with 2-bedrooms. What we mostly like was the cleanliness of the house, particularly the bathroom, bedding and lounge areas - they are very well maintained. Staff went above and beyond to help us during check-in and throughout the stay.

The exhaust fan in the shower did not work in house no. 5 where we stayed. I hope this will be fixed very soon.

They charged me more than my booking.com price for bedding but I wasn't given the option to use my own. Just told that I should never have been given that price
