Akasa Goa

I recently stayed at Akasa Goa, located near Palolem Beach in South Goa. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location was definitely the highlight — just about 10–12 minutes walking distance from Palolem Beach, which made it convenient to explore the area. The Palolem market nearby was charming and lively, adding to the beach-town vibe. The beach itself was clean and beautiful, even though it was the monsoon season during my visit. It rained quite often, so naturally, the surroundings were muddy, especially in the open ground area facing the hotel. Still, that’s expected during continuous rainfall. The hotel has a very natural, eco-friendly setting, surrounded by greenery. It felt peaceful and close to nature — though at times, it felt a bit too natural for my taste. Overall, what I liked most about Akasa Goa was its proximity to the beach and the serene natural environment. It’s a nice place to stay if you appreciate calm, greenery, and being near Palolem Beach.

Unfortunately, there were a few issues that made the stay less comfortable: Power cuts: On the very first day, there were frequent electricity cuts lasting for a few minutes each time. When I contacted the reception, they mentioned there was a problem with their generator and said it was “only for today.” I’m not sure if that was entirely true, but it did cause some inconvenience. Bathroom issues: The shower had a very weak water flow, making it almost impossible to bathe properly. The tap was very low, and no bucket was provided, which made using the bathroom quite uncomfortable. Breakfast disappointment: The complimentary breakfast was offered at a nearby café called Salty Goa, but the experience was quite disappointing. Unlike the usual buffet-style breakfast that most hotels offer, this one allowed only one dish per person, along with one drink and tea or coffee. The food quality was very poor, and both my mother and I didn’t enjoy it at all. Overall Impression While Akasa Goa has a great location and peaceful, natural surroundings, the facilities and services need improvement — especially the bathroom fittings, generator backup, and the breakfast quality/policy. If you truly enjoy staying close to nature and don’t mind basic facilities or average food, you might still find it peaceful. However, I personally would not recommend it, especially for those looking for comfort, good service, or a satisfying breakfast experience.

Akasa goa was a pleasant surprise. I recommend superior rooms. We had a very lovely 5 days stay here. It is 5 mins away from the palolem beach by scooty, it's walkable too, we preferred walking in the pleasant weather. The stay is filled with greenary and floral beauty. I was blessed to be here in peak rainy season and the greenary was extravagant. There's a small pool too in the centre. It's attached to salty goa restaurant where the breakfast is served. There is cloe cafe across the road, has good food. There were a few minor issues but the staff was quick and kind to get it fixed. For whoever loves to be in a nature's beauty will love the cottage stay here. I had a comfortable stay here, thank you Akasa Goa.

Due to voltage fluctuations, the electricity was unstable, causing the AC to malfunction and making the room uncomfortably hot.
