Crake Valley

We had one of the 4 bluebird lodges and it was stunning inside. Loved the cabin, quiet and peaceful area with loads of stunning views. Nice modern rooms, hot tub was very relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped, and everything worked perfectly. Cutains and blinds on every window so we could have full privacy inside. Easy checking in with the cabin ready on arrival. Wifi included and had a smart TV although it did struggle to connect to some of the app services. We really couldnt fault the place, and the few things we picked up on to improve would only make it better and weren't really bad points from our trip. Will definitely be returning soon!

Power cut out on us a few times during one of the nights, we we're missing a masher utensil and their could be a bit more for privacy outside but these are picky bits on a otherwise amazing place to stay

Lovely stay at Crake valley, with super attentive hosts Matthew & Katrina! Thank you for being what felt like our beacon call, we’d had some balloons delivered to the lodge as it was a friends birthday & they’d kindly put them up for us and displayed them lovely! Hot tub was ready to go as soon as we arrived which isn’t always the case in lodges we’ve stayed at, and beds were so comfortable!! all 4 of us would stay again & hope to do so in the future! Thank you again!

Would struggle to find any fault- would only say it would be nice if there were a few more condiments left such as salt pepper & oil as we hadn’t brought any & no shops in the nearby area, but now we know for next time!

This was our last family get together as my mum was beginning her palliative process. It was peaceful for all of us and her when she needed to rest. She loved seeing all of us together and in such a beautiful setting.

Location

Very small, no privacy.

Clean, good processes for check in and plenty of information about the site. Well equipped kitchen including washing up things and decent knives.

Twin room had no space between the beds to even stand up, no bedside tables or shelves for lamps etc. Decking table only seated three also not four. Caravans are far more cramped together on the site than the photos imply!
