Alila Manggis

Secluded spot, away from the usual tourist chaos of Seminyak and Sanur. Beautiful gardens overlooking the ocean. One restaurant providing all you need, excellent and attentive staff throughout, with no choice but to relax and unwind. Rooms could use a facelift if that is important but it doesn’t detract from the ambiance. Respect and observation of local Balinese culture is appreciated.

I have stayed at many hotels in Bali, Asia and Europe, and want to recognise that this is a very special place--Suseni and her team were just incredibly attentive and thoughtful and the service was impeccable, faultless, and on another level. At the start of our stay, we had a number of concerns that could have cast a shadow over the whole visit (e.g. our room had a leak, and we were subsequently upgraded). By the end of our week-long stay, we could not have been more happy that we were staying here.The food at Seasalt was exceptional throughout--we ate here 7-8 times. The Balinese meals were particularly well executed. Our visit to Tenganan, an old Balinese village, and the Sidemen rice fields, were particularly rich and interesting. Manggis itself is incredibly beautiful and Karang Asem is a very historical part of Bali. The Amankila next door is a nice place to visit as well for a drink or dinner. I could not recommend the Alila Manggis enough.

I had a wonderful stay at Alila Manggis and truly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the resort. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout the entire stay. Their professionalism and warm attitude made the experience feel very personal and relaxing. The location of the hotel is perfect for relaxation. Surrounded by nature and away from the busy tourist areas, it offers a calm and authentic Bali experience. It is an ideal place to disconnect, slow down, and enjoy the beauty of East Bali. The room was excellent – spacious, comfortable, very clean, and beautifully designed. Waking up to the quiet atmosphere and ocean views was one of the highlights of the trip. Overall, my stay at Alila Manggis was excellent. It is a perfect choice for anyone looking for peace, relaxation, and a more authentic side of Bali. I would gladly return again

The hotel is immaculate and the rooms are exceptionally clean All Of the staff I encountered were thoughtful l, kind and responsive Unfortunately there were building works between the beach and hotel so it wasn’t possible to walk along the seafront. The location wasn’t ideal In terms of accessibility

Not much really was nice that everything was compact, not far to walk. We snorkelled, the fish were lovely but the rubbish in the water was bad. We think perhaps the hotel needs to offer swimming trips further away from the rubbish.

Heel vriendelijk personeel, alles top geregeld. Ondanks dat de gerechten op de kaart prima waren konden wij nog na eigen wens gerechten veranderen of dingen toevoegen. Wij zijn er nu voor de 2. keer geweest en zouden een volgende vakantie ook weer een paar dagen bij Alila verblijven. Blijft een aanrader.

Jammer genoeg waren ze bezig met het strand ophogen en verharden. Was best veel lawaai en onrustig. Had het fijn gevonden dat dat al tijdens de boeking vermeld zou worden en niet pas bij aankomst. Een kleine compensatie voor de overlast zouden wij zeer op prijs gesteld hebben.
