Much better than expected, the rooms just need dehumidifiers and less bleach when laundering the bed linens. Breakfast was my favorite part each day.

Although there was noisy work at the sea front when we arrived the event manager did everything to stop this at the day of the wedding. The food, drinks and entire setting was just stunning and made this a perfect experience for the couple and us as family and friends.

Excellent stay at Alila. The resort is beautiful, the staff was friendly and the whole experience was very relaxing. The hotel arranged nice personalized tours for us which was a bonus.

Architecture is def worth appreciating. Staffs are warm and kind. The pool is amazing.

Nothing. (For those who enjoy beaches and swim in the sea, it is probably not an ideal choice)

I had a truly wonderful experience at Alila Manggis. The staff, especially at reception, were incredibly helpful and always went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Whether I needed simple things like scissors or an iron, or even when my partner’s sandal broke, they responded immediately and fixed it in our room , such thoughtful service! The transportation team was also excellent —, always on standby and quick to assist whenever needed. Everything felt smooth, easy, and welcoming. Alila Manggis has become my go-to whenever I visit Candidasa. It feels more like coming home to family than just staying at a hotel. My only small wish is that they add a gym in the near future, that way, I could stay even longer and keep up with my training while enjoying the beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for warm service, great hospitality, and a peaceful retreat. Can't wait to return!

So I thought it would be hard to be the last resort we stayed in in Bali, but this place did not disappoint. The hotel is beautiful as well as the facilities and the restaurant just made this trip. Service that the staff provide just made you feel like you’re at home. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We had a problem with flying ants in our room and the hotel was so good at moving as for a night and then moving us to a new room. It was because of the rain and insects just making their way inside. Even in the pouring rain, it was just beautiful here. There was some digging going on as they are trying to make a man-made beach and ensure that the water doesn’t come so close to the properties on the beach as well. So you might see some diggers and trucks going into 2026 as well. We weren’t aware of this one we booked so we’re walking up by the digger at 8 am the day after we arrived. The sunbeds are super comfortable and towels are provided. The pool is big and it was actually really nice that it wasn’t too cold to get into. The poolside drinks and food was delicious. The rooms themselves are really nice. We loved sitting outside and watching the Sun go down from the room. The food that I ate in the restaurant was probably some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. We didn’t eat out once and ate there every night. The service was also incredible and the restaurant manager was so passionate about the food and the fact they source from local and organic ingredients. We had two spa treatments, one of which was complementary, but we went back for another two back to back. The therapist was so good, sometimes you can go to resort and not get the type of pressure you would want from a massage but they were incredible here. I was in the room inside which is a repurposed hotel room, it would’ve been nice if it was a bit more spacious. My sister was outside in one of the covered huts and she really enjoyed her experience. Again, you do have to get past the noise of the digger though. Reception and housekeeping were incredibly nice and the hotel manager and shift manager were just so accommodating and welcoming. They were frangipani trees everywhere as well, and they are so beautiful! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Amazing service from every member of staff. We loved the little extras like the daily afternoon tea with Balinese treats and Balinese craft demonstrations, yoga and taichi in the mornings. Attentive staff who are always mindful about making our stay comfortable. Beautiful grounds. Lovely ocean views. Gorgeous sunsets.

No direct beach access due to erosion of the coast over the last two decades. But the hotel provided free shuttle service to an amazing pristine beach 20 mins away where you could spend the day and enjoy the services of the restaurants and facilities on site. Works currently underway to establish a Seawall to protect the resort. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but a bit of sprucing up is probably due.

Fantastic relaxing stay after a long flight from Europe. Amazing staff. The beachfront area will be magnificent once complete
