The view was amazing

The overall cleanliness n it needs renovation as too old

The room for a solo traveller was incredibly spacious, with an additional sun room with chairs and a couch to relax on and enjoy the mountain views. The view from the hotel is simply amazing- gazing over Garbett Plateau. It's one of the most peaceful views in Matheran and you can just sit and enjoy it. The room was old style, but very clean and in great condition. My bed was comfy, the fan worked very well and you can open all the windows to let air in because they all have fly mesh on them to keep insects out. Even though the shower only has hot water in the morning, the water at night is still warm enough to enjoy. The breakfast was delicious and the staff are really lovely and helpful. The pool was great to swim in after a long day of hiking. The location is close to the town but tucked away from any noise. I truly had an amazing stay here.

Location, helpfulness of staff, quirkiness. Place would have been great 50 years ago, but not modernised, so a bit run down. Nice pool, great views of sunrise. Enjoyed it for 1 night, but wouldn't want a long stay.

Beds were hard, wiring a bit dodgy. Hot water only between 7.30 - 10.

I like the staff. Very quick response and solve any small issue spacealy Kaluraam very cooperative and quick.
